Find Your Flow

I’d like to introduce you to Sarah Gregg.

Sarah isn't that different than you or me. She believed that if she did everything right and followed all the rules, success and happiness would follow. But when this self-proclaimed over-achiever from Northern Ireland achieved all her goals, happiness eluded her. Sarah's life looked perfect from the outside, but on the inside she found herself exhausted and disappointed. All this led her to bravely hit the "emergency restart button" and eventually led her down a completely different path in life.

As Rachel and I interviewed Sarah for our most recent episode of The Problem With Perfect Podcast, I wondered how many of us want to hit the restart button as we begin a new year. And if so, do we know how?

In this first of a two-part series with Sarah, she explains how hitting the reset button led her to the psychological practice of “flow.” If you’re like me, you may have no idea what flow is beyond the trite “getting into the flow.” Little did I realize all the science behind that statement, including the fact that being in the “flow state” has been proven to increase productivity by 500 percent!

In this interview, Sarah defined the two types of flow and sold me on their benefits. But she also shared some of her innovative secrets from her new book, Find Your Flow: Capture it, Use it, Make it Yours, which is basically a how-to method that she developed and used to transform her life with the science of flow. On top of it all, she was simply delightful and incredibly interesting.

If you're searching for ways to hit the restart button, improve your productivity and increase your happiness, then please give these podcasts a listen.
